Jess Middleton, the owner, writer, artist, (okay, everything), behind Wild Card Creations is based out of Louisville, Kentucky. The brand is best described as "sassy sentiments for the spunky soul." Since Jess was a kid, her happy place has been at the kitchen table with an excessive amount of school supplies, creating cards. Fast forward a few years (or 30), add a glass of wine, and a house full of boys and an adopted fur baby, and she's still that girl. Wild Card Creations came to fruition in 2015 when she needed a mental escape from her high school teaching job and the real world in general. It started with a sketchbook and Valentines for girlfriends, and developed from there. In 2017, she went full tilt boogie and exhibited at the National Stationery Show in New York where she was nominated for the national "Rising Star" Louie Award as well as several "Best New Product" awards. A few months later, she took a leap of faith and left the teaching world to become a full-time card hustler. When Jess isn't creating, she enjoys spending time with her family, and gal pals. She loves weekend getaways to Chicago or Asheville, exercising, and being outside. On the flip side, she also loves being lazy and watching trashy TV with a glass (okay, bottle) of wine. Wild Card Creations provides honest, one-of-a-kind cards that are relatable and make you feel good. More than anything, she hopes her cards put you in your happy place, just like they have for her.
