Sharing the beauty of the PNW through watercolor and illustration! Growing up an Army Brat I've been lots of places but found roots in Washington after moving here for college. I fell in love with the PNW because of it's natural beauty and endless opportunities for adventure. It's also what started my journey in watercolor. Painting began as a way to relax and connect with the natural world over coffee on Saturday mornings, but quickly became a passion to capture and share the beauty of all things PNW. My goal, when painting, is to share the beauty of the world around us using a simple color palette and create high quality products that you and your customers can proudly showcase on your walls, water bottles, fridge or where ever you want some unique art. Each piece starts with a small concept sketch where I work through my colors, composition and intent. Then I move on to painting the final piece. Once the watercolor painting is complete, I take a picture and and use photoshop to ensure color accuracy for giclée printing. To help keep the PNW green (and be eco-friendly), I typically keep a small stock of products in the studio and order out for most prints/postcards/stickers on an as-needed basis choosing eco-friendly papers where possible. I also reuse shipping boxes/paper/bubble wrap when shipping product out to cut down on additional waste.
