The story of Beyond the Equator begins with a longtime sugarcane farmer from Louisiana, Carl Newton. In the mid 2000's, enchanted by the potential of superfoods, Carl began a farm in Bolivia where he grew chia, quinoa, mung beans, and more. After farming in Bolivia for nearly a decade and observing the different uses for superfoods in the retail world, Carl decided to launch Beyond the Equator as a company dedicated to creating healthy and delicious products by integrating superfoods into already commonly consumed foods. Beyond the Equator believes great taste and great nutrition can coexist. We take the most nutrient rich foods in the world and create products your body and your taste buds will crave.
