From ashes to art, this is the story of our nature-inspired earrings. Hi! We are Clara and Edwin. We run our small family-owned business, Wood and Resin Handmade, out of our 284 sq ft Tiny Home on Wheels. We live off-grid in the woods of Northern California, near Murphys CA. Woodworking and homesteading have become our passion. Our nature-inspired earrings are a reflection of the love we have cultivated for the land around us. Living in a tiny home has intimately tied us to nature, and we love the immersion. The land that we call home, is a part of a wildfire burn scar. The Butte fire of 2015, killed a large amount of trees. We decided to find a way to make the dead trees new again, by using them to make these earrings. Felling these trees adds a bit of excitement to our process since, after the fire, they've become more hazardous to fell. Every pair of earrings is unique, as no piece of wood is the same. The resin is freely colored & poured by hand, which creates room for variety and change in our designs and colors. We use the highest quality resin in our creations, even though that means significantly longer cure times. We typically wait at least three days for our resin to harden. There are no cookie-cutter molds used in the making of our earrings. The styles of the earrings are purely from our minds and creativity. We thank you for exploring our page and hope you can get a taste of the wild we live in, through these earrings.
