Atypical hatched out of longing to remember an authentic world. One where industries no longer project gender and body bias. We longed to feel free and birth new beauty standards out of chaos. Finding solace in the realm of the senses - taste, touch, smell, listening and seeing. As the world tightened its grip in 2020, we loosened ourselves to these basic and often understated sensory pleasures. We drove deeper into the senses to find that sweet space underneath the surface that reminds us of happiness and totality. We conjured our most holy botanical blends to honour the feelings of limb-shaking sex, serendipitous moments, the visceral memory of a time passed or the subtleties felt on a walk through misty mountains.
