About Opalescent Eel Illustration & Design

I’m a Miami-raised illustrator and designer living in the Seattle area. I graduated in 2014 from Emily Carr University in Vancouver, BC with a bachelors degree in illustration after briefly majoring in photography. I’ve also been doing freelance graphic design for over a decade after studying it during high school. When I’m not working, I spend my time drawing with friends, playing videogames and cooking with my partner, browsing design blogs, or practicing digital painting. In non-pandemic times, I vend at several conventions every year. I’ve been putting my time into 3d art lately. I also run a shop from home while doing freelance creative work. Aside from working freelance and running my shop, I’m also a convention artist (when it’s not a pandemic outside). You can most reliably find my wares in my online shop but I’m also hoping to expand to wholesaling with some local shops in the PNW (and here on Faire). Read their story
