About Earth Matters Game

At Turn4Turn, a small design studio in Utah’s Wasatch Mountains, we set out to create a game that would inspire families to connect with nature and talk about climate change in a way that sparks curiosity and action. The result is Earth Matters—a beautifully illustrated, eco-friendly board game that makes environmental learning meaningful and fun. Designer Lori McDonald, co-owner of Turn4Turn and founding member of Soldier Hollow Charter School, brings years of experience as an educator, artist, and lifelong lover of the outdoors to this project. A former art teacher and aspiring poet, Lori’s passion for wild places and deep respect for the planet shaped every detail of Earth Matters: “I fell in love with the wild world at a young age. Climbing mountains and skiing powder snow have been my lifeline, and creating Earth Matters is my humble attempt to give back.
