I’m Renee, a full-time artist and photographer based in New Mexico, creating vibrant, nature-inspired artwork that celebrates the beauty of the wild and the comfort of the everyday. My pieces are filled with animals, botanicals, and bookish details. Think cats, birds, butterflies, flowers, and steaming cups of tea, all woven together with lush color and a touch of quiet magic. Inspired by my garden, my favorite stories, and the changing seasons, my work invites you into a world that feels both enchanted and deeply rooted in home. THE PROCESS I specialize in traditional, timeless oil painting techniques over more contemporary mixed media such as inks, charcoal, and even spray paint. My originals are mostly painted on the finest archival rag paper, but occasionally I’ll use wood panels or stretched canvas. I also create smaller art works using a type of watercolor called gouache on paper and even luxurious silk. The majority of my time is spent continuing to develop my unique style and push the boundaries of my art. Through my commitment to bringing more beauty into this world, I invite my collectors to step into a new realm of possibilities. My paintings can be described as romantic realism, filled with dreamy, exotic, and wild creatures.
