AWWA is a female and indigenous founded period underwear brand from New Zealand. AWWA is derived from the Māori word 'awa' meaning river or flow. Māori referred to their period as te awa atua - the divine river, and this is the foundation of our brand. Our mission is to do our part to eradicate period poverty, have a net positive impact on our environment, and to change the narrative about periods. We are proudly B Corp Certified—a certification that measures a company’s entire social and environmental impact—and have saved 35 million single-use products from landfill. Read their story
