About Lucas McKearn

Lucas McKearn is a partnership between Flambeau Lighting and Elstead Lighting which was created in 2016. It is a design focused company dedicated to creating some of the world’s more unique interior lighting. Elstead is a UK based company; owned by the Lucas family since 1969. Borne out of an old engineering and blacksmith tradition; Elstead now specialises almost entirely on decorative lighting. Today their products are sold in more than 50 countries worldwide. Flambeau is a Louisiana based brand that was established by the McKearn family over 20 years ago. Products influenced by the city of New Orleans; Flambeau has developed a rich tradition for bold designs with a twist of whimsy. The merger allowed the combined brand of Lucas McKearn to develop new categories such as bath and picture lights and greatly expand our design footprint and production facilities. Our design team works tirelessly to develop distinctive designs using a multitude of textures and finishes. Inspired sculpture is the heart of our design ideal. We then overlay those ideas with beautiful finishes. This includes: hand applied gold and silver leaf which is then antiqued. Some Flambeau shades are painted and finished with distinctive aging and umber applied. Metal plated products are polished four times to ensure a depth and clarity rarely seen today.
