About Amador Collective

I believe that giving and receiving a handwritten note and/or writing in a journal is a transcendental gift with significance that endures the passing of time. It is a true celebration of life. After being diagnosed with cancer at 29, I began to ask myself the big questions. What is my mission in life? Why am I here? During chemo, my mailbox was filled regularly with cards and gifts from the people I had touched throughout my life. Even though I couldn't see them, I felt their touch, especially in their handwriting. Prior to cancer, I loved to hand-make cards. My husband always told me I should start a stationery company but, I didn't believe in myself... until cancer. One night, my dining room table was covered in glitter and embossing powder, making thank you cards, I had a pause moment that changed it all. The moment. A handwritten note is something special, like a bridge from one spirit to another. A simple journal entry can change your life, connecting us the wisdom within. In 2018, less than a year after my remission, Amador Collective was born out of sheer inspiration and determination to create a brand that reflected my own excitement to be alive! Amador Collective provides a paper space to celebrate the everyday moments and reflect on both the magical and mundane happenings of our lives. I aim to create messages that inspire people to express themselves with vulnerability, gratitude and passion through the handwritten written word. Amador means lover. Read their story
