My name is Kaari and I am a Portland based artist creating whimsical, intricate drawings inspired by nature. I aim to make work that evokes warmth and nostalgia, and for my pieces to feel playfully layered in small, joyful discoveries. At the heart of my practice is an exploration of identity, growth, and what defines home. It is important to me as a small, creative business to remain conscious of environmental impact in my packaging & production. All of my paper goods are drawn, printed, and packaged in my home studio using recyclable or reusable packaging materials sourced from US-based suppliers. Most of my newer prints are now produced in a more sustainable way and printed on recycled hemp paper, which has a beautiful texture and aligns well with shops prioritizing well-made, environmentally conscious products. My lifestyle goods are produced by small studios across North America. I believe strongly in the power of small, independent businesses and the ecosystems that support them.
