About Loika

Welcome @s to tod @s to this project called Loika. My name is Caro (short for Carolina), the person who creates all the products you see on this website. Although I studied a degree in biology, it wasn't until after finishing my degree that I discovered my most creative side. Because I LOVE creating things, starting a project from scratch and seeing how my hands work until I finish what I set out to do. Sit down and create prototypes, see that I don't like it at all and change it, modify patterns etc. and see the finished project. Wow! What a high!. I love simplicity, practicality, timeless, durable, useful, comfortable and versatile accessories. My designs are characterized by simple lines, nothing rococo, without much frizz. Simplicity and practicality. I make bags from cowhide leather, a raw material that I love, especially because of the personality it possesses, its strength and durability. On my website you can find everything from small accessories: cable organizers, key rings, purses, to backpacks. All created with my own hands, in my workshop in Premià de Mar, Barcelona. Through my products, I intend to transmit all the enthusiasm, love and work behind it. Above all, I believe in preserving the beauty of the skin, since I like it the way it is. This is why I don't discard parts with scars and creases. These defects are typical of this material and give it a rustic character and a special appeal. Read their story
