About Rhya

Rhya candles are made to be aesthetically pleasing and elevate any space they’re in. What motivates us to make my candles is the goal that when my candles are lit, it makes our customers feel like they completed the missing piece of their home. So whether it be the smell of freshly baked brownies or the calming sense of jasmine or lavender, that scent is what makes it your home and what makes it inviting to others. Making our candles sustainable is extremely important to us at Rhya. We wanted to make sure we were contributing to making the earth a better place and be conscious of our impact on climate change, so our main obstacle was figuring out what type of wax we wanted to use. We knew we wanted to use wax that was environmentally friendly, but we did not want to use soy, because it does not perform a hot throw as well as coconut does. A hot throw is the smell that emerges from the candle when it is lit, so it is very important that a candle performs a strong hot throw. Coconut wax was the perfect choice since it is a renewable source that does not use pesticides or fertilizers in its development. It also burns beautifully and has a natural bright white wax. The jars can also be reused, giving them a whole new purpose, and that is what is really important with my brand: everything serves a purpose and has multiple uses.
