About Shipwright & Co.

Shipwright & Co. is a small letterpress and design studio located in the hills overlooking the Napa Valley, owned and operated by Jessie Alberts (that's me—hi!). My passion is to create stationery where the art of illustration and unique design meets the craft of fine letterpress printing. Each piece is made by hand, one at a time, on one of two antique printing presses from my hilltop studio. The majority of the paper I use in my shop is 100% cotton and made from cotton linters, a by-product of cotton processing. It is fully recyclable with standard paper recycling systems. I use paper or cardboard packaging where I can and the plastic packaging used to package cards either comes from bio-plastics and is compostable or is made from 100% recycled plastic and is able to be recycled again.
