Since 2006, Moena Moxham has been a multidisciplinary studio practice rather than a conventional brand—an evolving body of one-of-a-kind works crafted largely by hand. Think less label, more icon. Each piece reflects my fascination with detail, materiality, and the intersection of art, fashion, performance, and culinary practice. Collaboration is central to my work. I partner with exceptional artisans worldwide, including glass artist Emily Doerflein, cashmere weavers in Kathmandu, and bronze casters Michael & Kristen of WellSculpt in upstate New York. I value face-to-face connection and often travel internationally to work directly with collaborators. After relocating from New Zealand to New York in 2023, I incorporated Moena Moxham Inc. in the USA. In 2024, my latest fashion collection debuted at New York Fashion Week with a runway show atop the iconic 22 Vanderbilt building. Previous collections have been sold and exhibited at leading New Zealand boutiques including Zambesi, Workshop, Scotties, and Good As Gold. I am an interdisciplinary artist working across social sculpture, performance, textile, fashion, and edible art.
