O'Dea Design is a design + build firm located in Northeastern Pennsylvania focusing on using local, reclaimed, renewable, and sustainable materials and incorporating them into well designed, precision crafted, beautiful conversation starters in the guise of home goods, furniture, wall art, and consumer electronics. We are the team behind the viral #ConcreteCharger of 2013 which helped launch our brand of bespoke wireless chargers: Raw Induction. Over the years Raw Induction has been featured everywhere from Uncrate, Wired, Fast Company, Abduzeedo, Highsnobiety, Man of Many, among other publications around the world in categories ranging from design, electronics, and home. Our Raw Induction Chargers have been selected as the premier gift in many celebrity swag bags at award shows including the ESPYs. We are proud to compete with products from all the big names, that manufacture overseas out of subpar materials, to create uninspired charging devices. Our products are designed, built, and shipped out of our studio, using materials with soul. Materials like locally natural fallen Pennsylvania Walnut timber, historic reclaimed American Cherry flooring planks, or sustainably shaved Portuguese Cork Oak bark, combined with the likes of concrete, G10, Alcantara, brass, and aluminum. Unique materials allow us to create a truly bespoke collection with limited editions which are individually serialized. We may market these as wireless chargers, but like to consider them functional art.Read their story
