About Second Story Cards

Second Story Cards is a boutique greeting card company that elevates the voices and creative talents of people who have experienced homelessness. We believe that no one element in our lives, certainly not our housing status, defines us. And regardless of our circumstances, we have the ability to change our situation. We can write a second story. Our business model is simple: create beautiful greeting cards and help our most needy neighbors. Our cardmakers receive 15% of each sale. Additionally, we donate 10% to a nonprofit of their choice in an effort to give back to the organizations that have helped them overcome the challenges they've experienced. Nearly 70% of our cardmakers are Black and we're proud to amplify their voices as our nation grapples with racial justice. One of the best ways we can help effect social change is to support BIPOC organizations. By carrying our products, you'll not only be helping the individuals who make the cards, but you'll also be helping to make the greeting card industry as diverse and vibrant as the world we live in today.
