About WEGWARTEHOF

The wayside yard is a small, fine Demeter operation in the upper Waldviertel region. It is located on the Wildlife plateau, a large, rugged forest area on the northern edge of one of the most beautiful nature reserves in Austria. For over 20 years, we have been cultivating around 14 hectares of fields and meadows here in a biodynamic way according to Demeter guidelines. Our focus is on the production of mare's milk and the cultivation of medicinal and spice herbs. Some of our products are sold natural, while the other part of these raw materials is refined into high-quality products. This includes the unique Wegwartehof care line, fine mare milk chocolate, exquisite herbal teas, fine herbal salt blends, fresh herbal syrups and seasonal specialities.Read their story
