About Cosmic Circles

All designs are hand created by me, Kara Rane. I use non-toxic inks and pigments, as well as refillable markers. I paint on up~cycled wood or recycled paper. There is a respect for the materials I use and my ethics are based on a minimal waste lifestyle. It is my hope that the entire process - from the initial heart felt idea to the finished gift in your hands - reflects this care, awareness and love. Greenerprinter in Berkeley, California reproduces my art. This company receives the highest awards and certifications for responsible, environmentally conscious printing. It is extremely important to me to offer this integrity and quality. I live in Northern California, in Nevada City, Ca. on the Indigenous lands of the Nisenan people. It is an honor to be creating among the forests, rivers, rocks, and animal kin. My ancestry is Indigenous Sámi from the Nordic lands as well as the Icelandic people. I deeply resonate with the honoring of the Sun and the deep night of winter that acknowledges this stark contrast of light and dark. My children and all our children are a source of inspiration for me. The joy, beauty and wisdom their souls illuminate into our world are miraculous gifts to be cherished. It is my greatest vision to live reality in the dream of the New Earth.Read their story
