About Nan Rae Studio

The importance of Asian art became clear to Nan Rae on her first trip to Monet’s home in Giverny. This began a lifelong study of the art of the East, melded with her Western training bringing a new and fresh look to Impressionism and her desire to convey the art of ‘Living Joyfully.’ A line of greeting cards flowed from her unique artwork, and they have been called ‘the thinking man’s cards.’ Subtle yet filled with meaning, these graceful images are now on a successful line of scarves produced in Italy. Her illustrations for her three thoughtful, inspirational books have made them best sellers. Asked to produce a book on Brush painting, Nan Rae’s ‘The Ch’i of the Brush’ has enabled thousands in their study of Asian art.
