The creation of Faceries is a beautiful miracle in motion. It began with a single, unplanned act of creativity and inspiration by journalist-turned-artist Vele Keyta Redding. I had never created images of people. In fact, I had never even considered it. But one day, while reflecting on the power and presence of women across the globe, I saw something extraordinary in my mind’s eye — a vibrant, soulful image of three women, full of color, character, and boundless strength. That vision became my very first digitally created face, which I posted on social media in celebration of International Women’s Day. I had no expectations, but the response was immediate and overwhelming. Women saw themselves, their mothers, sisters, and friends in the image. They felt seen, celebrated, and honored. That one image led to another. And another. What followed was the creation of 30 unique digital portraits in 30 days. I titled the series Her Face, Her Style, Her Grace. It was, in essence, a love letter to womanhood — all its power, beauty, and complexity. What started as a heartfelt tribute quickly evolved into a movement and a brand. Each image created is named and featured on everyday products, allowing women to see themselves in the art and carry that reflection with them in their daily lives. Every product created in our McDonough, Georgia studio is designed with intention, creativity, and care to celebrate the mighty presence of women everywhere. Read their story
