Who are We? A social enterprise that works towards a vision of using plastic waste as a resource for creating a cleaner planet and building better livelihoods for informal waste collectors. What We do? We’re creating Fairtrade products made using recycled materials. Our goal is to help drive a transition from a ‘take-make-waste’ system to a more sustainable approach in the fashion industry. Each purchase directly contributes to preventing plastic from entering our oceans and provides economic opportunities to marginalized women in Southern India. How are we Different? We’ve developed a humanitarian solution for an environmental problem. By empowering informal waste collectors with better livelihoods we’re working towards breaking the cycle of poverty for millions at the base of global supply chains, while simultaneously creating systems that prevent Ocean-Bound Plastics from contaminating our environment.Read their story
