About Rotto Grotto

Becca Kacanda is the artist behind Rotto Grotto, a sculpture studio based in Milwaukee, WI. Inspired by the legacy of homegrown folk art and grottoes found in the midwest, she began making joyful anthropomorphic plant vessels in 2019. Her work incorporates her love of the natural world by including cement-embedded objects such as shells, pebbles and sea glass collected by hand on the shores of Lake Michigan and Florida. In 2020 she added kinetic mobiles to her product line which incorporate found drift wood, beads, and colorful rubber hi-bounce balls. Her work embodies her love of visionary art to create unique objects that aim to bring wonder, delight, and curiosity into your home. Read their story
