Fast forward to the present, and Liz has turned her fondness and enthusiasm for Scotland into a range of bags and accessories crafted in the Scottish Highlands that bring the artistry and history of Scottish textiles to a wider audience. Taking inspiration from her daughter Janie’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for fashion, Liz chose the name Janie & Liz Tweed, or J&L Tweed. Just like the country that inspired them, J&L Tweed products are woven with a rich history. Each product is named after an important person who helped bring Liz’s vision to life. Moreover, the brand’s bespoke tweeds and cashmere are woven at the renowned Johnstons of Elgin mill, which has been producing tweed and cashmere in Scotland since 1797.
