Jya Raine is an artist inspired by the quiet power and beauty of the natural world. Growing up in Glastonbury within a traveller community and now living in Dartmoor, Jya developed a deep connection to landscape, earth and freedom, a connection that now lives at the heart of her work. Her drawings are rooted in nature. Flowing lines, organic forms and earthy tones reflect forests, water, sky and the movement of wild spaces. Each piece begins with observation but grows through feeling, capturing not just what nature looks like, but what it feels like to stand within it. Wind through trees, shifting light, open horizons, these moments become marks on paper. Working primarily through hand-drawn illustration, Jya creates art that invites stillness and reflection.
