About Unusual Occasion Cards

THE “pointed wit” CARD LINE has been continually in production, since it launched, in 2001 at The National Stationery Show NY, winning “Best in Show”. The byline, printed on the back of each card, is “nostalgic visuals with a modern twist”. Each card has a retro graphic with a printed word, like a rebus. Read together, they create a slang that’s embedded in the culture. These cards, embrace a form of “word play” with something for everyone. People tend to buy the cards in multiples and they love to frame them. Each card is printed on the inside with traditional handwriting lines. Two holiday cards have inside copy, which is provided in the description box. The others have no inside message. The card has a yellow kraft paper envelope and acetate sleeve. The overall size of each card is 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" . Fun Card Facts: • The “drama queen” card appeared in the final episode of Glee, season three. A slow segue, in the final scene, reveals the card taped in a locker. • Unusual Occasion Cards gave permission for several cards to appear in the Kate Hudson film, “Earth Bound”. She was an ad exec. in the film. They were framed in her office. • Billy Gibbons, of ZZ Top fame, requested a behind the scenes meeting at an event in Austin.
