About North Sky Farm

Welcome to North Sky Farm! We are a Certified Organic micro-dairy with an on-farm creamery. We specialize in small-scale traditional dairy. We make cheese in small batches using traditional methods. We think this makes the best tasting cheese. About us? We are Mariah and Travis Hurt, farmers and cheesemakers making delicious cheese in our on-farm creamery and running our micro-dairy tending to cows on pasture year-round. I don't know exactly how we got where we are today but I think it probably has something to do with loving to stand around the kitchen at the end of a long day talking and cutting one more bite of cheese from the wheel until much to our surprise the whole thing is gone. I think it doesn't matter who you are, people have known forever that enjoying good cheese at the end of the day is the simple luxury that makes life worth it. We really do think that every ingredient matters, and have exceptionally high standards for what makes it into our cheese. Being Certified Organic represents that high standard and is in line with how we want to care for the environment. At our core our mission is to farm in a way that strengthens and supports our community and environment. To steward the land so that we leave it better for future generations. In a nutshell we are a couple of outdoors nature-loving environmentalists that like getting up early to farm and make cheese and want to share delicious cheese with you. Read their story
