Lee Cool, founder, was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina with a loving, middle-class family. He bought his first watch when he was 16 years old, and quickly fell in love with timepieces as a whole. As his passion for watches developed more and more, he had a dream to create a watch of his own. Lee went through the design/manufacturing process when he was 17 years old and created his first watch called the “Lochhead”. He attempted to turn this single creation into a brand with no success. Facing defeat, he became discouraged and decided to take a step back and “revisit the drawing board”. Lee moved to Boone shortly after his setback to pursue his degree in business management. While Lee was in Boone, he was exposed to some very influential people and quickly fell in the love with the idea of renewable resources and sustainability. In the winter of 2017, with his knowledge of the design/manufacturing process, Lee decided to create wooden watches to give his friends and family for Christmas. Combining his knowledge or sustainability and watches, he was able to create something amazing. After sharing his watches on his personal social media, many of his friends asked if they were for sale. This was to be the beginning of a continuous adventure which lives on today.
