About Hata Donegal

Hata was founded by Donegal native Ronan Hanna who grew up steeped in the local tweed tradition. Hata brings a contemporary feel to custom tweeds while continuing relationships with local weavers and spinners. Ronan sources his luxury yarns of mohair and merino from Donegal Yarns in Kilcar. After a process of in house design the yarns are taken To Shaun Molloy & Sons ( sixth generation weavers) in Ardara where Hata's custom tweeds are woven. These custom woven tweeds are then used to produce headwear, bow ties, capes, ponchos, skirts and shorts.Read their story
