About Dede’s Cajun Cuisine

Our Founder and Southern Belle, Debbie Bailey Frei My friends call me “Southern Belle.” But with three young children, I'm called “MOM!” more than anything these days. I started Dede’s Cajun Cuisine in the fall of 2011 after catering a Southern lunch at my church. I knew I wanted to share my love of cooking, southern heritage, and specifically, Southern food from my home state of Louisiana with friends and family that we met and visited around the United States. The challenge became how to juggle all of that with my first priority of being a mom. Well, dinner time is always that crazy part of the day when everyone is hungry and tired and driving kids from activitie to another. So often, the running of kids around, errands, and never-ending laundry, there isn’t enough time to prepare a meal from scratch. So with that in mind, I created Dede's Jambalaya and Creole starter sauces pulling from my Southern roots and traditional recipes from growing up cooking with family and friends. My sauces were an instant hit. Everyone who tries them, loves them. It made my heart full! Today, I create delicious, healthy, quick and easy dinner that can be on the table in no time. It’s my passion to preserve these recipes and pass on these slow-cooked starter sauces with a modern goal of getting dinner ready quickly.Read their story
