Leila Martyn founded MyOva in 2016 after her own challenging PCOS and fertility journey. After living unwittingly with PCOS symptoms for four years, she was finally diagnosed at 19 when her doctor told her she would find it difficult to conceive. With no post-diagnosis support, Leila found it challenging to navigate the complexities of living with PCOS, and a seed was planted back then that there was something wrong with the system. Years later, when Leila was ready to conceive, she experienced six miscarriages over five years. This experience prompted her to research everything she could about how PCOS can affect fertility, and she discovered promising research around a B type vitamin called Myo-inositol. Leila was inspired to bring this supplement to the millions of other women living with PCOS and so MyOva was born. The same year her business launched she found out she was pregnant with her first son Louie. Through MyOva, Leila continues to advocate for women living with PCOS and recently launched a Government petition campaigning to get PCOS on the UK national curriculum.
