I am a nature lover. Whether it’s the windswept coastline, the pine scented mountains, or the big sky of the open plains, I am deeply moved by our natural world. I love the awesomeness of powerful waves, and the intricacies of design in a simple leaf. It is this passion which fuels my desire to create. I truly believe nature grounds us, reconnects us with who we are. It gives us peace even during tumultuous times in our lives. Nature puts our problems in perspective by reminding us of the big picture, and it connects us spiritually with our creator. It is my hope, that when you take home a piece of my jewelry, you will feel the intention with which it was made, and you too will feel closer to our natural world because of it. I hope it reminds you of happy moments with family or friends, salty sea air, leaves rustling in the trees, or warm sun on your skin. Life can be challenging, but I do believe it can be a little better when we make time to appreciate the beauty. When making jewelry, I start with organic materials such as a leaf or seashell, then through a special process called electroforming, I coat those items in pure copper or silver, thereby enshrining them for eternity. I also use more traditional metal-smithing methods to build jewelry from scratch using silver and gold and astonishing natural gemstones.
