About Polly’s Scents

My name is Paula Byers (fondly known as Polly) and I am the proud owner of "Polly's Scents". All products in my range are eco friendly and handmade as nature intended. Our candles and melts are paraffin free and perfectly hand poured just for you. Our diffusers are eco-friendly and our hand wash is paraben free and gentle on skin. So where did my love of candles begin ? I am now settled in Grangemouth, home of the magnificent "Kelpies" but grew up in a small village in the Scottish Borders. Taking you back to the early 80's, I'm sure some of you can remember the dreaded power cuts that without warning, would throw our homes into darkness. I remember standing as a child, gripped with fear, as my mum would rush to the cabinet drawer for the emergency candles. Soon there was light again, but for me there was so much more. I would watch in awe as the flames danced around the room, making me feel warm, safe and calm again. Those memories have never left me and each time I light a candle, it takes me right back to my happy place again.
