About Unrest Project

In 2021, I created the Unrest Project and designed a collection of mental health greeting cards after browsing the sympathy section of many stationery stores in Toronto. As a victim of sexual violence, I spent many years of my life in fear, pain and paranoia and have often hoped people would talk about emotions like grief, anger and sadness in an open and honest way. Unrest was born out of that desire. I created Unrest with the hope that we can be more open with our feelings. I know how difficult conversations centring around vulnerability can be but keeping silent about our pain is not being brave at all, facing it is. Slowly, over the last two years, the Unrest Project has expanded into lifestyle goods and accessories and we could not be more grateful of the growth.
