About Brownstone Playhouse

Brownstone Playhouse mission is to create artful, well crafted, handmade toys and home decor products that tell a story combining reality and fantasy which allows children to freely express their creativity. Brownstone Playhouse is art-focused, socially conscious, history based, mindful of environmental issues and out-of-the box visionary on toy design. The creative designer of Brownstone Playhouse is Milady Hartmann. The company began out of a need to create a playhouse that resembled Milady's own brownstone home in New York. Then, she went on searching the market for a replica of a “brownstone” for her children to play in to no avail. Milady designed a playhouse, and later developed soft-sculptural characters drawn from classic international folktales, as well as art and architectural elements infusing them into the “Brownstone Playhouse” brand.
