Serpent & the Swan is an ethical and sustainable Australian-made fine jewellery label with an artistic approach to creating earrings, rings, pendants, necklaces & bracelets. Jewelley with Heart. After a chance encounter with a jeweller at a friend’s wedding, founder and designer Hayley Smith decided to start jewellry-making classes and fell in love with the traditional craft of handmaking jewellery. Melbourne-raised, Sydney-based, Hayley started her career in fashion, studying fashion and textile design at university before moving on to start her own label, Serpent and the Swan. She then worked internationally in Fashion and presented at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week heres in Sydney, even interned directly for Alexander McQueen. Moving from a successful career as a fashion designer into jewellery, Hayley creates jewellery with a unique edge inspired by her love of animals, symbolism, nature and historic jewellery. Every piece is designed and handmade by Hayley in her studio in Sydney, creating one-of-a-kind personalised pieces to be treasured and passed down through generations. Serpent & the Swan.
