About Lys Santamaria

Lys' story begins when her family immigrated from Colombia to Canada when she was only 3 years old. After this abrupt change, Lys dedicated herself to her natural crafting abilities, learning all her skills from her mother. The process of creating became a self-soothing and healing activity. As an adult, Lys traveled back to Colombia and realized that all of the women in her family have been masterful makers for many generations. Creating has now become a way of honoring and reconnecting with her ancestors. Every piece that Lys makes is consciously created with color therapy, numerology, and is always infused with her love of craft. Lys now mindfully creates joyful jewelry from her home studio in Austin, Texas. Read their story
