Mad Hatter’s Candle Co. is a handmade candle company founded and owned by BreAnne Alesi. The name reflects a time when BreAnne felt like the Mad Hatter—trapped in a constant struggle with her own mind. Nine years ago, she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. During this challenging period, she discovered candle-making as a therapeutic outlet, finding peace and comfort in the creative process. As she navigated her mood disorder, candle-making evolved from a personal healing practice into a passion she wanted to share with others. This journey led to the creation of the Moodscapes Collection, a line of candles designed to enhance the different moods we all experience in life. With nine years of candle-making experience, BreAnne officially launched Mad Hatter’s Candle Co. in October 2023, turning her passion into a business. Her husband, Frankie, is also an integral part of the company, lending a hand whenever possible. All products are made with non-toxic, high-quality ingredients—from natural soy and coconut wax, to cotton wicks, and phthalate-free fragrance oils that are infused with natural essential oils.
