About The Inking Rose | Lettering

Roselly Monegro, is a lettering and illustration artist based in Los Angeles, CA. Born and raised in Dominican Republic, she's had a passion all things creative from a very young age. In 2006 Roselly received her Bachelor's degree in Advertising and got to work for award-winning ad agencies. She started drawing motivational phrases at work during downtime and breaks and gifted these to co-workers, these were well received and people kept coming for more. Around 2015, she fell in love with the art of lettering became fully self-taught artist. What started as a hobby, slowly turned into a new career. By 2018, she quit her corporate job to become a full-time freelance artist and The Inking Rose came to life and has had the opportunity to work with amazing brands such as Coach, Prudential, LA Times, Ricicle Cards, Avanti Press and more. Roselly Monegro's work is known for being whimsical, colorful and playful. Her art is inspired by feelings, her imagination, as well as the beautify of nature and it is mostly around the themes of empowerment, self-love and well-being. Read their story
