PEOPLE LIKE ART started in 2010 as a line of delicately handcrafted women's tops and dresses by designer Shannon Lea. The brand was known for creating unique prints inspired by art on modern, minimalist silhouettes. All prints and dye patterns were created in house, and the garments were ethically sourced and manufactured in Tennessee and Downtown L.A. The brand quickly grew to be sold in 30 independent boutiques across the country and online. Over the years, PLA customers developed into avid collectors of the limited edition, art-inspired pieces. After closing down for a couple of years during the pandemic, PLA has pressed the restart button. We are rebuilding and starting fresh! All wholesale tops and dresses are now constructed, dyed, and printed in-house in Tennessee.
