Green Papaya was established in 2018 by a working scientist-mom, who wanted to find a better alternative to store bought candles, wax melts, and tea lights that are too strong-scented and irritating to the nose and airways. She noticed that store-bought, generic candles burned fast, gave off soot, and some of them produced an odd-looking clump after the first burn. Armed with her knowledge of product development and quality management principles, she set out to create a line that she would want to use every day with her family and friends. After an extensive research on types of soy wax, wax suppliers, fragrance oils without phthalates and wicks, a perfect combination of "nose-friendly" and natural line of high quality candles was born. Green Papaya's promise is to produce and carry products that our customers can trust. Our latest addition, the Candle Carousel, was introduced in 2019, a mesmerizing mobile decor that combines old science and contemporary art. When the hot air from the candle or tea light goes up, the blades start to move causing the ornaments to go round and round. We intend to sell candles, tealights, and candle carousels.
