Founded by my fiancée and me, Guaratea is more than just a business—it's a labor of love and a reflection of our heritage. Growing up with an Argentinian father and a Paraguayan mother, yerba mate was always a staple. It's not just a drink; it's a cultural experience that fosters community and connection. I have fond memories of sharing yerba mate with friends, introducing them to its unique taste and the sense of warmth and togetherness it brings. Our mission at Guaratea is to provide high-quality, fair-trade yerba mate products that respect the traditions and values of the regions where they are cultivated. We believe in sustainable sourcing and supporting the communities that grow our beloved yerba mate. Additionally, we wanted to use Guaratea to share our Christian faith, with a leading verse in our business being Hebrews 13:16: "And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
