The inspiration for The Duop came from a conversation with a hotel room attendant named Palmo. She had just returned to work after injuring her back on the job 6 months earlier. Turns out that Palmo is not alone. Manual cleaning involves far too much bending, kneeling, stretching, and carpal tunnel inducing wrist bending. Pain in the back, knees, wrists or shoulders in the rule not the exception. Add to that all of the harsh chemicals being used on a regular basis and one realizes how difficult cleaning can be. By working closely with hotel room attendants, we created Duop as a way to reduce the exertion, pain, and direct contact with cleaning chemicals. It is sold in hotels and other commercial facilities around the world. The room attendants liked it so much that they asked us to make a version for them to use at home as well. Thus the Duop consumer version was born. Today, we aim to be the most forward-thinking cleaning equipment company, providing people with modern tools to tackle manual, frustrating, & dirty jobs with more comfort, more satisfaction, and more respect for ourselves and our planet.
