This carefully selected mix of wildflowers is enough to cover 1 metre square in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots. Sales of this tin support People's Trust For Endangered Species (PTES). The UK's hedgehog population is in sharp decline. We can do our bit by helping to grow British wildflowers. Not only will the wildflowers provide shelter, but it will attract a range of tasty insects for hedgehogs to feed on! The tin features Hedgehog, a popular Jin Designs creation, who would love to feed on insects in your garden. How do they work? A seedball is made of clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder - and seeds too of course! The ball prevents birds and insects from trying to eat the seeds. Therefore it increases the chances of you growing the wildflowers. They are super easy to use and no expert knowledge is needed. How do I use seedballs? Throw onto soil or compost in a garden bed or planter in Spring or Autumn, leaving at least 10cm between each ball. Your Seedball has everything it needs to grow and, once the ball becomes moist and the temperature is right, your seeds will germinate! What area will my seedballs cover? Advice is 20 seed balls per square metre, or 3-5 seedballs for a 35cm container. Where do the seeds come from? All seed is responsibly sourced in the UK from Flora Locale accredited suppliers. The compost is only ever peat-free and the steel tins are manufactured in London (with the help of a solar farm on the factory roof).
