Introducing a Trickster Co x Barnacle Foods collaboration. We had the chance to partner with Crystal Worl, co-founder of Trickster Co, to make this sweet, smoky, salty, and deeply satisfying kelp seasoning (think next-level blackened seasoning). Together, we dreamed up this kelp-infused seasoning, inspired by the flavors and traditions of the Alaska Coast. Beachside fires and rich billowing smokehouse steam, salty sea, with a hint of sweet. For best results: coat and rub seafood, meats, or vegetables with a generous layer of seasoning and sizzle over flames or in a pan at medium-high heat. About Trickster Co: Artists Crystal Worl, and her brother, Rico Worl, started Trickster Co. in Juneau, Alaska. Trickster Co. is an Indigenous-owned design company that strives to share the way traditionally rooted people represent themselves in a modern context. Their work represents the prestigious lineage of Northwest Coast art in a fresh, energetic, irresistible form.

We have carried Barnacle in our shop for the past few years, and continue to stock their products because of the quality, ease of ordering, and commitment to sustainability. Matt & Lia are wonderful, and the brand story resonates with locals & visitors. It’s easy to sell products you regularly use & enjoy. In fact, a bottle of Bullwhip Kelp Hot Sauce even traveled with us on a 3 month road trip (pictured at one of our campsites) because we couldn’t do without… it’s really that good!
