Oriental Beauty, also called Cha Nang Ngam () or Dongfang Mei Ren ( ) is an oolong (or wulong) tea whose naturally sweet and fruity aromas and smells come from the bite of an insect (Jacobiasca formosana). Indeed, when leaves are attacked, their mechanism of defense secretes a hormone that activates the oxidation process, developing in the passage of aromas characteristics of honey and fruits. This Oriental Beauty was harvested at a very young age in the Mae Mountains Salong, during the winter season, when insects are less present and active: consequently, the notes sweet and fruity are subtle and fine.
