French Lavender Bouquets We import fresh lavender from Provence, France, bundle 100 stems, and hang them to dry for six weeks. Each dry lavender bouquet is then wrapped with tissue paper and ribbon. Bouquets measure approximately 15-18 inches Shelf life of lavender is quite impressive, up to 10 years, if stored properly, with the best/strongest quality of scent happening within the first three years. The key to such longevity is to dry the lavender thoroughly, and keep away from direct sunlight in a cool, dry place.
