Amethyst geode from the Artigas mines, Uruguay This is a beautiful amethyst specimen from Uruguay, in the Artigas region. It features a uniform lilac tone, with cluster crystals covering the entire cavity and polished edges that highlight the contrast with the matrix. At the top, there is a prominent large formation of yellow calcite with a scalenohedral habit, perfectly integrated into the ensemble. At the base, there is an area of white quartz, especially visible from the back and side of the piece. An exceptional mineralogical combination on a basalt matrix that adds character to this unique piece.
