I have more control and can use a thicker cotton thread for more durability. The vintage sewing techniques I use coupled with the vintage fabric and organic batting make for a very well loved product. One of a kind, every quilt I make is a study in print and pattern, color and texture. The thin heirloom batting gives it warmth but not bulk. Machine or hand wash cold. Air dry on a line or draped. Clothes dryers are harsh on fabric. I lay them over a railing after washing - doesn't take long.
